Serves - 2
medium cooking ability

This tasty cut of meat is packed with vitamins, minerals, and muscle building protein.

Ingredients

2x 8oz rib-eye steaks (about 2cm thick)

1 tbsp sunflower oil

25g butter

2 garlic cloves, whole but smashed

2 sprigs rosemary

Sea salt and black pepper to taste

Method

Up to 2 hrs before cooking, remove steak from the fridge. Pat steak dry, seasoning with salt and pepper.

In a heavy-based frying pan, heat 1tbsp oil until piping hot and shimmering.

For medium rare - add steaks to the pan, and cook for 2 ½ minutes until the bottom is crispy and brown. Using tongs, flip over steaks and add in the butter, garlic and rosemary. Tilt the pan to baste steaks in the butter, cooking for a further 2 ½ minutes.

For well done - follow the above method, cooking for 5 minutes on either side.

Finally, rest for at least five minutes for your perfect steaks.
