Pan-fried Ribeye steak

Pat steaks dry and season both sides with salt and pepper, it is always best to cook steaks from room temperature. In a heavy- based frying pan heat oil until shimmering. For medium rare- add steaks to the pan and cook for 2 ½ minutes until the bottom is crispy and brown. Using tongs, flip over steaks and add in the butter, garlic and rosemary and tilt the pan to baste steaks in the butter for a further 2 ½ minutes. Finally, rest for at least five minutes for the perfect pink steaks!

Ingredients

2 rib-eye steaks about 2cm thick and 8oz, 1 tbsp. of oil (choose something with a highs smoke point like sunflower oil or avocado) 25g of butter, 2 garlic cloves bashes, rosemary, flaky salt and pepper.
